Imagine my surprise when one of my new irises bloomed in November when I only planted it in August. It is a rebloomer named Renown.

The butterflies are still coming around. This one on the Texas sage was barely moving. Maybe it was too cold, or perhaps getting old.

The gardening season is fast coming to an end. Seed pods are ripening as the last flowers race against time to produce progeny before it is too late. To the left is a caster bean plant going to seed and a galardia (or blanket flower).
