From Mom's old garden Immortality A gift from a friend Oenothera speciosa -- Pink Primrose

I'm loving the irises, but delighted that my pink primrose (Oenothera speciosa) have begun to bloom. I planted them last spring in my front bed by the front door between other plants. They spread like crazy but didn't bloom last year. They look for all the world like weeds until they bloom, and I wondered if I was wise to let it spread so much. They do stay close to the ground, however, so at least they don't look rank even if you'd have to say they are invasive. I noticed last week that they were covered with buds. They should bloom for weeks.
