Let me say it again, we LOVE the Cotswolds. Going there is like stepping back in time. Quaint little towns, Cotswold stone cottages, slate and thatched roofs, and an abundance of one and two lane roads connecting all the little towns.

Driving was a challenge. First you have to remember to stay on the left side of the road, which is not too difficult on the straight away, but gets a little bit more complicated when making turns and going round those ever present round-abouts. Then the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car and hubby, who is right handed, had to shift with his left hand. Then add to the mix all the very narrow roads with hardly any shoulder and the fact that all the local drivers act as though they are on a four-lane divided super highway. They drove at speeds that made us feel like turtles. My husband is normally a fast driver who has all the confidence in the world, but while we were there he drove very conservatively, and not after dark.
