Welcome to page fifteen of a journey through the year 2002 in my garden.
Second Week of May

My new day lilies came yesterday and I planted them this morning. It was hard to find room for them all, but I'm excited. There are four red varieties and a white one, ordered from "Snow Creek Gardens" online catalog. They were grown in Washington State. I hope the lilies like it in Oklahoma City.

The roses have begun to bloom now -- just in time for Mother's Day. Two new iris varieties have made their debut, as well. A new purple one and a lovely yellow/purple combination. The shasta daisies are opening and so are the red peonies now.

Also pictured are some irises mentioned earlier, and another shot of the Missouri primrose, a wild flower that wants to take over.
