Garden Journal...        Big Plans  

Already I can see that I'm going to want more garden space so I plan to do the whole back yard in flowers next  year. I planted many things too close together, so I will move a lot of the things I already have. We had a good rain the third week of May and while the ground was diggable, I put in the plastic edging between what will be gravel path and flower garden -- well just mulch until I have the plants. I plan to spray the grass with Roundup as soon as I can get it growing good so the chemical will kill it. I won't take off the dead sod until probably August when some of the irises need to be moved.
