The winter of 2005 has seemed incredibly long because I am so anxious for my first full growing season in my new garden. With hundreds of bulbs planted, almost as many perennials started, I expect a glorious spring. There are projects to get to, as well -- new beds to dig, oodles of seeds to plant, an arbor to put up, and a compost pile to begin.

Our winter weather has been weird, freezing one day and the next so beautiful that it is difficult to not begin planting too early. I did winter sow many seeds and hope for the best.
