Welcome to page seven of a journey through the year 2002 in my garden.
Second Week of April

T
hings are growing like crazy after some good rains and lovely spring temperatures.   I planted some bedding plants this week: dianthus in the walkway bed between the coreopsis, some portulaca in pots, as well as begonias, vincas, caladiums, and impatiens.

We went to the Arboretum in Dallas on our anniversary trip. It was fantastic and I took a lot of pictures. If you are interested in seeing them, you can find them here.

T he creeping phlox is covered with a blanket of flowers and my tulips are just beginning to open.  The little patches of blue ajuga are in bloom now, too.  The red bud tree is still showing color.
